Welcome to the Celestial Pavilion FAQ! Here you'll find answers to common questions about comments, translations, user accounts, privacy, and more. If your question isn't answered here, feel free to contact support@celestial-pavilion.com.
1️⃣ Comments
How do I leave a comment?
You can comment in two ways:
- Giscus (GitHub-based) – Requires a GitHub account. Your comment will be stored in a GitHub Discussion.
- Ghost Native Comments – Requires a Ghost account, which only needs an email. No passwords are stored by Celestial Pavilion.
Why do I need a GitHub account for Giscus?
Giscus uses GitHub Discussions to store comments. This prevents spam and ensures that only real users can participate.
Can I edit or delete my comments?
- Giscus: You can edit/delete your comment directly on GitHub.
- Ghost Comments: You can manage your comments by logging into your Ghost account.
Where can I see all discussions?
- Giscus comments are stored in GitHub Discussions.
- Ghost comments remain on the site under the relevant blog posts.
2️⃣ Translations & Content
Are your translations 100% accurate?
No, translations may contain errors, but they are edited to the best of our ability.
Can I request a translation?
Yes, you can send requests to support@celestial-pavilion.com. However, requests may be denied if the original novel is hosted on a site that is prone to DMCA claims.
Can I use your translations elsewhere?
No. As per our Terms of Service, translations cannot be reposted, shared, or copied outside of Celestial Pavilion.
Do you accept fan translations?
No, we do not host fan translations.
3️⃣ User Accounts & Subscriptions
Do I need an account to read?
No, you can read freely. However, an account is required for both Giscus and Ghost comments.
How do I unsubscribe from emails/newsletters?
You can manage your subscription in the Ghost Portal by unchecking the newsletter option. Note: Emails are not yet implemented.
How do I delete my account?
Email support@celestial-pavilion.com to request account deletion.
Will you offer paid subscriptions?
Possibly in the future, using Stripe for donations/subscriptions.
4️⃣ Privacy & Security
Do you track users?
We use Google Search Console for basic analytics (anonymous tracking). The Ghost dashboard may track some user activity.
What data do you collect?
We collect:
- Emails for newsletters (if subscribed).
- Comment data (via Giscus or Ghost).
We do not share your data with third parties.
Is my email shared with third parties?
No, we never share user emails.
How do I contact support?

5️⃣ Technical & Site Issues
I found a bug. Where do I report it?
Email support@celestial-pavilion.com.
Why is the site slow or not loading?
Celestial Pavilion is hosted on Pikapods using half a core and 512MB RAM. If the site is too slow, email support. The site is still in testing/deployment phase.
What’s the best way to view the site?
The site is mobile-friendly and works best on modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.
6️⃣ Legal & Copyright
Are you affiliated with the original creators?
No, Celestial Pavilion is fully independent and has no affiliation with original authors or publishers.
Can I support the site?
In the future, Stripe donations/subscriptions may be available.
What happens if someone reposts your content?
We enforce our DMCA policy. Unauthorized sharing or reposting of content may result in legal action.
